Many diseases and associated treatments are related to flow features in the circulation system and airways. Being able to better understand and predict these flows would have a positive impact on diagnostic and treatment capabilities as well as on the design and optimization of biomedical systems. To this respect, advanced numerical and experimental methods are natural complements to the medical imaging techniques used in the clinical routine. The purpose of SIG37 is to bring together scientists (e.g.: researchers, engineers, physicians, medical physicists, biologists) interested in the following topics relevant to in vivo, in vitro and in silico biomedical fluid mechanics:
The SIG37 has got more than 65 members from 12 European countries. Please do not hesitate to use the form below to register your interest and join us or to contact the coordinator, or address any question about the group. We look forward to hearing from you.
