hosted by the School of Engineering at The University of Manchester, UK

The competition:

The 2023 Osborne Reynolds PhD competition offers prestigious awards that celebrate the quality of students and graduates who have been pursuing doctoral level research across the broad domain of fluid mechanics, including turbulent, multi‐phase, stratified and free‐surface flows, convective transport processes, combustion and acoustics. Entries are welcome from schools of engineering, physics, mathematics or environmental sciences.

Competitors are invited to submit abstracts by email, according to the instructions. Following review of the submissions, the authors of the best six abstracts will be invited to make presentations at the Osborne Reynolds Day. The winner and two runners-up will receive cash prizes, and they will be put forward as the UK's nominations to compete in the 2023 ERCOFTAC da Vinci Competition.
