Conference in memory of Prof. Andro Mikeliċ

The conference took place on the 19th - 22nd March 2024 onsite at the Center of Advanced Academic Studies (CAAS) in Dubrovnik where also the accommodation and meals were available. The program consisted of invited and contributed talks.

The list of invited speakers included distinguished experts from Czech Re- public, Croatia, Germany, Norway and Sweden as follows: Helmut Abels (Regensburg), Peter Bastian (Heidelberg), Anna Marciniak-Czochra (Heidelberg), Boris Muha (Zagreb), Sarka Necasova (Prague), Andrey Piatnitski (Narvik), Sebastian Schwarzacher (Uppsala) and Thomas Wick (Hannover).

In addition to the invited speakers, other experienced scientists as well as young scientists were among the participants. A total of 40 participants were present, a size that allowed for very good interaction, especially between the younger participants, but also between the younger participants and the experienced scientists.

Overall, the conference was very successful with a number of very positive feedback messages from the participants acknowledging high level of all talks, as well as the friendly atmosphere of the event. The conference had the desired impact on further research and contributed to increased collaboration, especially between young scientists.
